We would like to invite you to our annual Festive Market. Thursday 27th November, 5.30-9pm.
This year promises to be bigger and brighter with performances from Gamesley schools, Street and Breakdancing from Dynamite Dance, Live Music, performance from the Powderkegs Morris Dancers and a Fire Poi Dance. We have 16 covered stalls selling everything from Christmas Gifts and Toys to Arts and Crafts, children’s clothes and Christmas Trees. Lots of community groups in Gamesley will be raising money for their groups through raffles, tombolas and lucky dips. There will be a range of children’s rides and activities including a bouncy castle and festive face painting!
Opened by the Mayor of the High Peak, Father Christmas and his Reindeer will be visiting Gamesley! Families can have a professional framed photo taken with Father Christmas, a lovely gift!
Alongside a tasty Hog Roast Stall and Homemade cakes and Mulled Wine from the Children’s Centre, Hot food and drinks will be provided by Gamesley Community Café.
The Festive Market is organised by Groundwork Gamesley, Big Lottery Project supported by High Peak Community Housing, The Gamesley Residents Association, Community Café, The Melandra Castle Pub, The Children’s Centre, Gamesley Community Centre, Derbyshire County Council, Derbyshire Adult Community Education, The Cadets, Gamesley Primary School, Gamesley Library, St Margaret’s Primary School, Derbyshire Constabulary, the Fire Service, British Red Cross, Tameside and Glossop PCT and local shops agencies and businesses.
