Derbyshire Police – Image released in connection to an indecent exposure in Glossop

Derbyshire Police have released the following details in relation to an incident that has occurred on the path between Glossop Road and the middle of Cottage Lane.

Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to in relation to an indecent exposure in Glossop.

The incident happened on Friday, October 1 between 3.45 and 4pm on a pathway leading between Glossop Road and Cottage Lane, in Gamesley.

A 14-year-old girl was walking home from school when she heard a shout and as she turned around a man exposed himself to her.

The man is described as aged in his late twenties or early thirties, around 6ft tall, of a skinny build and with dark brown hair.

He was wearing a dark Nike tracksuit and a baseball cap.

Allotments update

A planning application to permit a change of use to allow the allotments to be set up on part of the Roman Garden’s is expected to be submitted during this week.

The planning application if approved will allow part of the Roman Garden to be used to create 11 allotments.

Gamesley Community Bonfire

This year’s Gamesley Community Bonfire and Fireworks Display will take place on Thursday 4th November.

As with previous years, to make the event a success we need the help of volunteers to work, both on the night and to help us put the event together, if you would like to help please get in touch with us at the GRA Office.

Pre Season Friendly

This Saturday (7th August) sees the last pre season friendly for Gamesley FC with a home tie against Chapel Town FC.

The match kick’s off at 2.00pm and all are welcome.

Summer Holiday Activities

It the start of the summer holidays today, and as well as the activities going on in Glossop, there is also a full range of activities taking place at the Gamesley Sport and Community Centre on Melandra Castle Road.

This week’s activities are as follows :

Mon 26th July – Sports coaching 1pm till 4pm and Street Dancing 1pm till 4pm

Wed 28th July – Bouncy Castle 2pm till 4pm

Friday 30th July – Music Sessions – 1pm till 4pm and 6pm till 9pm * pre booking is required

Neighbourhood Walkabout

This coming Thursday (15th July) will see this month’s neighbourhood walkabout, with Frank Wood’s from High Peak Community Housing.

The walkabout will cover the section of the estate from the Eyam Lane bus stop to the shops (Wessington, Calver, Alport etc.) This month it is starting from the Gamesley HPCH office at 2.00pm.
